Was recently given this O/U by my father. He said he paid like $800 for it in the early 70's. This gun is in excellent shape with no scrathes anywhere. Trigger is gold and the stock is nicely engraved. Not that I would ever sell , but was looking to see what it was worth. Any Ideas ? This was the first gun i ever hunted with when I was 13. Shoots like a dream.

The BL 4 is a very nice gun. These were imported by Garcia. The BL series are a fantastic field gun. They are good for informal clays ,a bit light for serious comp. shooting.
I'm sad to say if your dad paid $800 for this gun new in the early 70's he got ripped big time. They could be had for $350-375 most places with $425 being the high end.
Today the same gun in 95% condition are sold in the $550-650 range with a max of $700.

Beretta has made a few changes to there shotguns over the years. You'll find that the receiver and lock are basically the same as the models that Beretta offers today. Beretta's new models have interchangable chokes and chrome lined barrels. Most BL-4s that have come across sell for around $500.00. However, I have seen some of these guns choked skeet/skeet sell for over $1000.00
