Hell if its about saving money, do what I did. I bought a Bushy lower...saved some money bought a bushy barrel....saved some money bought the rest of the gun RRA upper reciever had it put together the way "I WANTED IT" saved me 300 bucks doing it this way. I have had zero problems with it. And I also just bought a trijicon Acog TA31F scope (*badass*). It might be worth checking into, doing it yourself that is. And colt is very over priced especialy if you want an LEO gun if you go that direction get the 6920 version. And they hold their resale value very well.

well, .......I dunno, most of my rounds are fired as fast as I can pull the trigger, I might be particular as far as shooting in my hunting rifles, but for this toy, its petal to the metal!!! 30 rnd clips dont last too long. You are more than welcomed to shoot it next time you come up, I just got a new CASE of ammo a month ago. (ya never know when "IT" may go "DOWN") ****Attention all ATF agents reading my add, all 30 rounds magazines were given to me by my father and purchased in the early 80's*******

I have been totally satisfied with my Bushmaster. Plenty of rounds thru it and no problems. I never owned an Armalite so I couldn't tell you about its performance/reliability, but looked at them cause there built here in Illinois, before buying my Bushmaster. I didn't really consider the Colt due to price.

trgams, have you bought your AR yet? I used to own a Bushmaster and it was a fine rifle. I now own an Olympic Arms Pre-Ban and two RRAs. One is a match rifle, the other is a Tactical Entry. I love both of the RRAs. I think the triggers are smoother and their customer service is great. I'm not saying anything bad about Bushmaster, just that I prefer my RRAs. They cost a little less than the Bushmasters too.

Shooter..no, I've got the cash burning in my pocket, and am going tomorrow to the gun show!! I'm not sure what I'll get yet...I've had so many excellent replys in this thread, that I'm not sure if it was a good idea to use this forum to definately decide what I want...it is a great place to make new friends on though, with like minded people who seem eager to help. I think I'll just go and look at as many as I can get my hands on, and let instinct take over. I know essentially what I want, and feel confident that I'll make the right decision. I'll try to post a pic of it when I get it home. Thanks alot for all the advice everyone!!!

Just wanted to show you guys what I got....Bushmaster mod.XM15-E2S with 20" Barrel, bayonet lug, and flash supressor....this is really a sweet weapon, can't wait to destroy something with it. The only thing I guess I can destroy is a target, but that should be really really fun!!
Thanks again for all the great advice. Now to the firing range!!!
