anybody have the .204?? i really like the looks of the gun. i want it for varmint hunting. anyone try it on coyotes? don't know if it's big enough. but i would like some feedback about it. it shoots fast enough, but i've only seen the ballistic tipped bullets. do they make and other shells for it?? do the ballistic tips penetrate very well or do they just blow up on impact like the others??

Hi Buck:
The only factory loads are V-max (Hornady) or accu-tip (Rem), so getting other bullets is a handloaders proposition for the time being. Berger makes some excellent .20 cal bullets. Given that new cases won't be available for well over a year, it bothers me to have to shoot factory lods to get cases. You can make them from .222, but I am not that ambitious.
I whacked a 'yote with the 40 grain v-max and it worked like a charm. The .204 is a great round.
Good Luck.

I got my brother one and worked alot with it to get it ready for him for Fall Turkey. I can't believe I bought a 700ADL for 387 dollar and out of the box, its shooting sub MOA. Just my luck. If it would have been for me, it would have shot 3" groups at 100 yards.
Only prob with it in the 700 action if feeding sucks. You have to have the shells in there just right.
