I just looked at the gun. It says "Sako SM" on the receiver, so I guess that's it.

Not sure they made a whole lot of wsm's before this SM came out. It is basically a III action with a magnum boltface. Check out www.sako.fi for specs on it and see if it matches up with what you bought

October, ah, later than I thought.
We leave to set up elk camp October 1st, then scout/set up spike camp, then opening morning October 9th, the hopefully butchering in camp by Octber 11 and home by the 14th.
