AWB Expired, anyone gonna buy anything?
 

So is anyone planning on getting some new gear now that the AWB has expired.

I do not think I will be buying anything? I am not sure what all has been banned in the passed? AK-47's & other rifles that look like them have never tripped my trigger.

I am not planning to buy anything now. However its nice that we can. Magazines is about all I might buy soon before the ban them again which they will if Kerry is elected. He Blasted Bush today for not doing more to extend the ban. The NRA says the Dems already have a plan to extend and expand the bill if Kerry is elected. He would sighn it for sure. The Guns and Ammo writer said this month that compared to Kerry, Al Gore was a poster boy for the NRA. Kerry has never failed to vote for a anti gun bill.

I plan on buying a few magazines for my Glocks but thats about it.

I think it would be fun to buy a Telescoping stock for my AR-15, which I've got an "M-4" upper for, and it'll be easier to find high cap mags for my AR's and my pistols now, hopefully.....

Other than that, there's not much that is honestly going to change, which points out how useless the ban really was, there has never been a shortage of pre-ban rifles or accessories in the last decade, so there isn't a huge demand for them now.

Although I'd also like to pick up a Semiauto Thompson carbine or clone with a 100rnd drum, or maybe a dual drum for my SKS (which was already pre-ban anyway).

Leaning towards a Ruger #1 in 260 Remington, since they don't make it in the 6.5 Swede. Sorry I am so retro! Never saw an assault rifle that I wanted to take home. Haven't handled an FN though. Always been curious.

My question is this........now that "Pre Ban" guns are just guns again, and they were priced much higher than the post ban ones, are all the post ban AR's with pinned stocks, etc. now to be had for much cheaper?
I mean now that the AWB is over, nobody wants the post ban stuff right?

I was thinking about a RRA M4 style AR, in a post ban configuration before the expiration, should I expect that same gun to be had for less now?

Unfortunately the only 'assault rifle' I've had my eyes on lately has an attached bayonet, grenade launcher, and flash hider but was already exempted from the AWB laws. Oh, welll, I'll have to buy that Yugo SKS now anyway, and add a nice synthetic folding stock because I now can:D

I'm so happpy 30 round mags will be 15 dollars again instead of 40 and 50 dollars and the ruger 10-22 hotlips magazines will be 9 dollars again instead of 60 dollars. In your face Diane Feinstein. thing is even with the ban hi cap magazines were always available other then the high prices and there were so many preban guns out there the post ban guns really didnt make a damn bit of difference just shows you how dumb liberal democrats are.

I don't have a need for an SKS or an AK or anything, but yet it's cool to be able to buy one now complete with all the accessories, if I wanted to.

What do I really want? I want to get my hands on a previously-banned Marlin Camp Carbine 9mm rifle. Remember those? God, talk about a sweet rifle.... Nice compact little thing... Like a "kicked up" version of the Marlin 795 clip loaded .22lr [8D] - but this just takes the same 9mm clip from a handgun. A friend of mine has one and will not part with it. Somehow, it made its way on "the list" from the Brady Bunch and Diane Feinstein and others. :eek:

Well if you saw me & the son at the Orlando show a couple weeks ago you "Might" have seen a terrorist! :D

My 16yr old made me SO proud today................ I told him to close his eyes & tell me what sound he heard. I then dropped to the floor, the gov't wussy 10rd mag from my M1A and fed in an old 30rounder and racked it the bolt...............somewhere in the middle of the process, he hollered out "that's the sound of a full-sized clip being fed into a M14/M1a"! GOD Bless that Boy!!! :D:D:D

I don't own any assault rifles, but I bought a Glock 23C a couple weeks ago and its nice to now be able to buy a hi-cap mag or two for it and not have give up my firstborn!!![8D]

I always wanted the camp carbine in 45 acp a nice compliment to a 1911 since they use the same magazines.

NO! It's only the street gangs which will benefit. At least, according to the cops that NBC News persuaded to tell the public that they are already being "out-gunned" again, two days after that fool law expired!

I say if any cops are actually being out-gunned, they have only themselves to blame. If I were being sent into an area where I expected to face an AK, I'd sure have something better! Just like I did in 'Nam!!

Has anyone seen the gun bizarres they have in Pakistan and Afghanistan??? Why the hell would a terrorist want to try to buy a weapon here? Why would they need to? They have a much better selection in other countries, right at home, even!!

I'd buy me a drum magazine big enough to make my barrel hot enough to light a celebratory cigar! Enjoy it while you can, and stock up for when you cant.

Funny, when I was younger, semiauto versions of the various battle rifles really intrigued me. Somewhere along the way I must have turned into an old fart, because now all I care for are bolt action rifles. I never even make time to use my handguns anymore. Here in the People's Republik of Kahlifoaniah the gun laws are so restrictive that the lifting of the AWB means nothing anyway.

If I could have afforded an HK91 when I was a twentysomething I probably would have gotten one, though, as my friend's was actually a very accurate rifle.

For me, assault rifles are all sweat. Sporting and target arms are all fun. Somehow I have always managed to keep it straight. Now, if I just had that eagle eye and steady left hand under the forestock that I had 30 years ago....

I just started to build a M4 bushmaster 6 position collapsable stock, ewwweyy its going to be awsome. Im going to be broke after this project. I just cant descide between a trijicon acog or a aimpont comp ML2, any suggestions?
