The Assault weapon ban will soon lapse.
[b]Maybe only 6 bullets, but you can use a 50 round magazine soon.
Imagine the fear in the deers eyes... ;)

[b]NOT IN NEW YORK STATE, YOU CAN'T! NOT FOR HUNTING - NOT WITH ANY SEMI-AUTO. And you sure as hell can't use a full auto for hunting anywhere in the U.S.!!

between you and a few of your buddies, each of you ship one piece(certain pieces) of the ak back, all to different locations.then put it back together when you get back, minus the barrel and the gas tube and piston, even the stock to reduce size and can replace here easily everything else, the complete receiver and receiver parts including the bolt and bolt carrier are what really counts...this is what makes the weapon what it is,all the big parts can be replaced easily here....just a thought i had when i read the post, nothing wrong with me expressing a idea...

No but implementing that idea is a FEDERAL OFFENCE not to mention punishable under the UCMJ. One more thing to consider, I am not sure what the SOFA is over there so taking of war trohpies might be considered looting by the host counrty and punishable under there laws. Just not worth the risk.

I think the best advice that you have received so far is to leave the thing where it is. I remember guys after the Gulf War that thought they were smart enough to get weapons back without getting. There's nothing like a little time in Leavenworth for pondering the wisdom of such actions. It's certainly not worth another unplanned adsence from family. Thanks for your service. You're a Great American.
