RE: 375 H&H OR RUM?
he has already shot a 375 rum with a brake on it and he never complained about it so i guess it got tamed with the brake on it . the owner of the gun kinda got him thinking of getting one over the H&H but i had no idea of the downsides. I will have to check on the accurate reloader site for some opinions from those who hunt africa with this caliber . thanks for the info im gonna foward this to my brother.

RE: 375 H&H OR RUM?
Well I use the heck out of my 338 Rum. Dont really know how the other three cals. work.
But I do know that the reason that I chose the 338 RUM over the 375 H&H is that . 1. Compare the ballistics of the two The 338 hits harder than Any of the 375 H&H bullets. 2. Have to compare the muz. vel. between the two. ( Granted the two ARE NOT the same .)But still blowing it out of the water at any distance you want to compare to. 3. I dont have to take the recoil of the 375 calibers. Just something to look at. And please be my guest . You can go to the Rem. web site and compare any of them. hunter338 Aint that ONE funny Joke...:D:D:D |
RE: 375 H&H OR RUM?
The 300 UM is a great round for most North American game. If you intend to hunt the big bears, grizz, kodiak or brown, you want the 375 H&H. You'll know what I mean when a grizz appears out of the mist at 50 yards looking at you like a menu at your favorite restaurant. Oh, if your recoil jumpy, stay away from the H&H.

RE: 375 H&H OR RUM?
Never been afraid of recoil. Do have a round for the Big Bears it's called a 378 W. Mag.
I also have a nice 10 guage 3 and 1/2 mag shot gun. Well I guess you could say that I am a little recoil senseitive.:D hunter338 |
