Savage is a pretty much under rated gun.
Another under rated gun would have to be the Winchester M70 "push feed" models. They are great guns, but they don't have the "over valued," claw extractor. For most situations you don't need, nor ever will miss having the "claw!" The push feed models shoot just as good as other guns. The Remington 700 never had the claw extractor! It seems if you don't have it on a Winchester though, your gun isn't a good gun!

Savage for rifles, I'd like to say Tikka but even though I'm very impressed they need to age and "stand the test of time".
I love my Mossberg scattergun, I'm having my 1st problem now after 15yrs, but I'm sure its just a worn piece that would have happened with any gun thats seen the use mine has.
