A friend of mine bought a Nova about two years ago, and he has never complained about it binding. However, he does not hunt with a shotgun very much. I know 4 or 5 guys who swear by their SBEs, but that is not what you were asking about, and it is a whole different price range.

Never had my Nova bind !! There is an allen screw on the forend stock .....if it is too tight it may cause it to bind .......if it is loose it will rattle a little but otherwise no problems !!

I have two Novas..one in 12 and one in 20...I love them both...and I hunt hard with both of them. I have never had any problems at all...Does not bind and never fails to feed. I like the cut off switch on the slide..makes it convieneint to unload the chamber to cross fences, streams and such.

i got a benelli nova pump about 3 years ago. 12g 28', and i couldnt be happier. i paid $269 for the gun, and it looks and shoots much better than the rem 870. i have gone through many shells, i would say over 2,000 rounds easily since i have owned the gun. i gun has never jamed, or misefired on me at all. i know many people who own the gun , and couldnt be happeir with the gun themselves. i for one think the gun is awsome and great. it makes a great first time gun, or even a waterfowl gun, with a good price! good luck
