Does anyone have their own "sweet spot" for their Browning A-Bolt II 30-06 rifle?
I find the owners manual pretty sparse on this info. You would think that Browning would do some extensive testing with each caliber and publish their best results. I know that each barrel has it's own "sweet spot" for each bullet weight, but surely there must be a good starting point that Browning could recommend!
My "so far" sweet spots are:
Speer 125gr TNT HP = 2.5 Boss setting
Speer 165gr Hot Cor BT = 7.0 Boss setting
I don't have the powder charges available at the moment but if anyone is interested I will provide them. These settings give groups that can be covered with a quarter about 85% of the time. The other 15% is probably me
