BigBulls, I think you have all comments made covered LOL..I just hope that small elk gun you have doesn't spook the game whatever it maybe..That's something you might consider. Make a Camo cover for it.
If anybody can set you up with a scope for it Leupold can. Trashco might but probably wouldn't hold up to the light recoil.You have allot to consider before taking it elk hunting. Even more if you're going to try it out on Chipmunks or cottontails.

Do you set in Africa shooting elk in Oregan with that thing? What kinda scope you got on that thing?

Hey, can you post some of the test groups from range firing?
What does the target look like after a couple of shots?

I suggest you stack the sand bags high, and sit up straight with your chest on the edge of the shooting table.
