RE: going to the grave yard?

It is well entrenched and like other said it won't be a factor in our time, the old standards are still going strong today even with the new choices. Heck you can still buy 303 british ammo and not one manufacturer chambers this round today.

I assume your talking bblack bears, if so anything 140 and up will be fine. Contrary to some peoples belief bears roll over an die pretty quickly. However they do have dense hides and tough shoulder blades, so I wouldn't suggest a BT in a 7 mag when hunting them but anything from 150 - 175 gr power point type up to premium ammo like 140 - 160 failsafe, nosler parts, barnes x, etc will work just fine on blackie's.

7mm magnum do think it will last or not because
Hell no, it won't last! it has been on the market now since about 1962, and is bound to bite the dust shortly, just like the .30/'06 did!!

looks like your a little outnumbered on that opinion and the 30-06 definetly hasnt "bit the dust" because if i can get ammo for it where its elegal to hunt deer with them i dont that they have bit the dust

There are more 7mm rem magnum rifles in circulation than there will be for a combined total of all of the new 7mm wondermagnums poduced in the next 20 years. Just my prediction.

The 7mm RM will probable be around for a long while. Now, after saying that, I am a very disappointed 7mm RUM owner. When I purchased my model 700 7mm RUM, you could get 140, 160 and 175 gn loads from the factory. Now the only factory load for the 7 RUM from any company is a 140 gn CLU. I can't believe a cartridge as powerful as the 7 RUM and you can only get 140 CLUs. I'm ready to sell my rifle, and move to one of the WSMs. Anyway enough of my complaining, the 7mm RM should be around for some time.....

Sounds like a textbook case for getting started in handloading;)

7mmUltraMag
The problem is its a Rum. I love the rums, the only problem is finding factory ammo. 7mm mag is easy to find, but all the rums are limited. 300 rum and 7mm rum are both limited. I guess all ultra mags are. I have to reload for my 300 wby to get the cartriage I want. I love the ultramags, and If I didnt reload Id probably hate them.:D
