I've hunted with all three and was not disappoint with any of em. My favorite is the 7 rem mag. It just plain does a good job. My longest shot dropping an elk was with the 7 rem. 500 yd and one shot. Now after saying all that I am starting to be partial to my 300 win mag. I found a 130 gr (3450fps) load for long flat shots and have worked up a great 190gr load for meaner animal. If I ever get a chance to hunt big bear I'm sure the 300 win will have a load for the 220 gr bullets that will do the job.

All are quite capable, the 06 will have far more factory loads available than the others. The 06 will kill anything the others will just a little slower and not quite as flat.

I have used all three and can't complain about any of them . I use my 300 win the most but thats just my preference in the guns I have rather than the caliber .

Of the 3 I have the most experience with the 300. I think it is the most versatile round out there. It can do everything the 30-06 can do, only better, it os probably only behind the 30-06 and 308 in terms of ammo availability. for all around north america use, I wouldn't hesitate in going anywhere and hunting anything in North America with my 300.

Based on what you want to use it for, I'd pick the .300 win mag:)

They are all well capable of any north american game. The .300 having the all around avantage but with more recoil. Do not buy that caliber in a light weight rifle and expect it to be enjoyable to shoot. The 7mm mag is in the same class almost in recoil.

As far as the 30-06 having a better bullet selection over the 300 win that is not so. Any bullet you can load in a 30-06 case you can load in a 300win case. Same bullet dia. .308 . The 300 Win mag factory ammo will cost you almost double the price of the 30-06.

Go with the 06, most peopole can't shoot well under hunting conditions past 300yds. to make use of the magnums. An animal won't know whether it was shot with a .300 mag or an 06 under 300yds.

What do you have now? It may help in determining overlap or diversifaction of your offerings.

All 3 will due the task for NA game with the proper bullet. Equally all three have ammo to select from and usually can be found quite easily as well. Little doubt the 06' will offer the lowest $ when buying, availablity and selection over the shelf ammo. The 7 rem mag has no short comings for ammo availablity, price and offerings, in fact it is probably the cheapest magnum ammo available over the counter. The 300 winnie has no shortage, availability should be pretty moot but the price will be the highest of the 3. Not that I think that should be your main concern, but it might play into your decision.

I use a 7rem mag personally for my all arounder it just boiled down to what I liked the best. I will tell you it was very close contest with the 300 winnie, so either of these 2 are excellent choices.

For me the 06. Because it will kill anything that the other two will kill cheaper and with less recoil.
