25-20 WCF Winchester Help
I need help with a bet. There is a 6 pack riding on this so guys don't fail me now. My buddy has a winchester in 25-20WCF. the serial number is 659686. The barrel has the regular manufactured by winchester repeating arms co, new haven etc. Also stamped is patented October 14 1884. Now I am guessing it is a model 94 made between 1912 and 1913. He claims it is a model 1882, because the 1884 and 1886 models didn't come in 25-20 WCF. Can anyone tell me who is right, or who is the winchester go to guy? Once again thanks for all the help.

It can't be a 94 with a patent date of 84. At least I have never seen one.
