Do what I do, wait til she's not home, then sneak it in and put it in the back of the safe. Then when she is home, drag it out in front of her, and if she ask's "is that a new gun"?, just say naw, this is an old peice of junk that I drug out of the back of the safe and by the way you look lovely today dear, and may I have the pleasure of taking you out to dinner tonight?:D;)

jjt, I just bought the right handed version of that gun today at Dick's...$199 on sale...Gonna mount the Bushnell off of my Rem710 on it until I can afford a better scope. I'm lucky in the "hide it from my wife" department...I keep my guns locked up at the office with all of my boss's guns. OUr wives don't like guns in the house, so we lock them up in the office and we can add all of them that we want and don't get in trouble as long as we get rid of the credit card slips.;) I'm hoping that I'll be able to take it out next week and try it out..

that makes me feel even better about savage. At $219 for a left handed model i dont feel like i am getting screwed most every rifle i buy is $50 to $100 dollars more than the right handed model when i buy them and i get $50 to $100 less when/If i try to trade them in
