How many on here have a Winchester Black Shadow or Super Shadow. I was looking at one at Scheels a few days ago in 270 WSM. I like the feel of the rifle although the stock was just a tiny bit on the short side. I wonder if there are ready made shims to add a little lenght?

Sounds like a great rifle. If I get the one I am looking at, I am looking at the Leupold 4x12x40 VX-l. I have a 3x9 in that model as well as an M8 4X.

I have the Winchester Black Shadow in 7MM Rem. mag. topped with a Leupold Vari-X II.
After tweeking the trigger, I am getting very close to 1" groups! One of the best guns you could get, $$$ for $$$.

I have a super shadow in 7wsm..it shoots like a house on fire..had the trigger stoned and adjusted to 3 1/2lbs pull weight and threw away the scope and put on a Burris lowlight scope..I hate the plastic triggerguard but the stock is extremely stiff compared to most synthetic stocks and points and handles beautifully... I like the CRPF compared to the CRF I had on my 300 wsm and feel it is much smoother and less of a hassle at the range. Took 4 deer(4 shots) with it on my annual Alabama hunt in very cold rainy weather and no problems with it...Eventually I know that when available at WInchester I will buy the ultimate Shadow stock and corresponding floorplate...
