Savage Rifles
I have seen and shot shot some of the recently made Savage rifles. They ain't much to look at, but they are good performers and the price is right.
So, my question is this.........Are there suppliers where you can buy aftermarket parts to replace some of the cheap plastic parts on Savage guns? I really don't care for plastic trigger guards, etc.

RE: Savage Rifles
Clint, I bought a Savage model 110 varmit rifle in 7mm Remmag and was surprised by the out of box accuracy. I saw some replacement stocks in a Cabellos magazine and they offer one for the heavy barreled models. What model do you have that has a plastic trigger gaurd? Does anyone have any info on the Bell and Carson replacement stocks? Are they a good investment? Are their other stock makers that have stocks for the Savage heavy barreled rifles?

RE: Savage Rifles
I think they are not replaceable for the regular savages that come without them.If they did I would have one on my 50 cal.
I have 2 savage rifles a 223 bull barrel and a muzzle loader. the muzzleloader shoots some very good groups.as good as some reg rifles. Will probably get a new one with the accu trigger soon

RE: Savage Rifles
I have two Savages. A 110 in .243, and an 11G in .308
Both are very accurate with factory ammo. I too do not like the plastic trigger guards, but I guess that's what I get for the money. I wasn't aware that Brownell's had replacements. I am sure going to check them out.
