RE: Savage Rifles
As of the last time I enquired, they were not planning on releasing it as an aftermarket. It would take some serious smithing, something about the safty.
Here's a pic of mine and the groups I shot on Thursday. ![]() ![]() |
RE: Savage Rifles

RE: Savage Rifles
Thank's. Thats with factory loads. I'm running some cases now and plan to load up a few tonight. I've got IMR 4064, Varget, and H380 to try out. Loading 52gr BTMHP and 55gr FMJBT. About 125 cases. Sounds like alot of work at the range coming up:D

RE: Savage Rifles
I have to say I am quite pleased with my savage. 1 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. The scope that came with it let me down but life goes on. I have the older style trigger. maybe someday I'll put an aftermarket trigger on it but for right now it suits me fine.

RE: Savage Rifles
I had the same problem with the old 22-250 I had. The scope was a simons and a POS. Would not hold a zero. rescoped it and was a good shooter. Put the original back on it when I traded it.

RE: Savage Rifles
I bought my savage from a pawn shop for $183.00 model 110. I took it to the range an shot it was luck to get 8 inch groups. I got rid of the cheap Bushnell Scope that had an adjustable turret and put a redfield on it. Now I hold groups to an inch or better with custom loaded ammo.
