Default .22-250 vs. .243

i know which rifle im gonna get (savage 12FV) but i dunno which caliber to get....

i will be using it for long range shots out to 400 yards or so on yotes, fox, crows, chucks, etc. i dont care bout the hides so i was just wondering which one shoots flatter and is more accurate with factory varmint cartridges from remington, winchester, etc.

just wnana know which one is more accurate and flat shooting.

thx for the help

22-250 if you are never going to hunt anything bigger than the varmints you listed.

I to have both calibers for what you plan using it for the 22-250 would be my choice. But both are very accurate.

IF there's a lot of frequent windy conditions where you shoot, get the .243, or better yet, the 6mm Rem. If you don't have a lot of wind, a .22/250 will serve OK!

You might think about the .243WSSM, pretty much get the best of both worlds, hypervelocity and more knockdown power...I'm planning on one soon myself! I'm leaning towards the Winchester Coyote, but that might change when I can handle a Savage model in the WSSMs.

most ppl say that the .22-250 and .243 shoot pretty muc the same except on windy days.....how much of a difference is there when theres a little wind between each caliber?

plz explain anything and give examples so i can fully understand.
