I have a "Hastings" rifled barrel on an 1100 Rem.
It does not have a scope mount canalever (or what ever its called) incorporated onto the barrel. So I had to use an "A-Square" mount that bolts to the side of the reciever for a scope mount (2.5 power Bushnell). I found if I tightened the bolts too much the gun would not cycle as an auto-loader and became a single shot. If I losened the bolts too much the scope mount would move up and down a bit and I could not get satisfactory groups. I had a gun smith use barrel bedding epoxy between the mount and the reciever and tighten the bolts only after the "glue" set. I now shoot 2 3/4 inch groups at 100 yards with Federal Sabot slugs.
I forget what I payed for the Hastings barrel.

i have a rem 1100 with a rifled barrel 21" with iron sights bought from remington about back in 99'
i am just getting back into it. now so i have a B-square mount on it with a newer red dot scope put on it after the new year. it cost me about $200.00 and got it for a steal. i have seen them go for more now a days. go with a cantevillier barrel cause you see the differance in the sabots past 100yds unless you are that good at 100yds with iron sights.

I just picked up a Remington 1100 this fall, and I love it. I tryed some different slugs in it and the Winchester Partition Gold shot the best. This gun with the cantilever barrel and scope is one fine shooting piece. I'm talking about from 50-200 yards just a 6" group. I shot a nice 9 point with it this year, heart shot at 90 yds. Great gun, you don't notice the kick when shooting at a anomal.
