Opinions about Mossberg
Hi, first of all, thanks for taking your time to give me some personal opinions about this shotgun I just ordered (12g. -- 2-3/4 in. Mossberg Slugster"rifle barreled.")
I don't know much about Mossberg but it was a good deal and my brother got me into buying it, and so I did. I havn't got it yet (should get it by 12/5/03)
so I would like to know more about it.
I know I should have done some re-search on it myself before buying it but its already payed for.......
Thank you,
Peyman

A Mossburg shotgun is one of the two most popular shotguns used in this country. The other would be the Remington 870. I personally own an 870, but some of my hunting buddies own Mossburgs and love them.
A good solid gun, made for deer hunting.
You will not be disappointed.

My Mossberg 500 was extremely finnicky as to slugs. Get a bunch of each type and try them all. I could shoot a 3" 3shot group with winchesters and couldn't hit a paper plate three times in a row with Remingtons. Go figure

I HAVE 2 MOSSBERG 500's ONE IN 12ga, AND ANOTHER IN 20ga. BOTH WITH THE RIFLED BARREL/CANTILEVER MOUNT, SO DO A FEW OF MY FRIENDS, GREAT GUN FOR THE MONEY. WE ALL USE 2.75" LIGHTFIELD SLUGS

RE: Opinions about Mossberg
i know several people that one them. they are very economic for there price.
i almost 4 years ago bought the bolt action slug gun. but decided to go with the rifled barrel for my rem 1100.
maybe down the road in acouple years you might want something else. some people have had problems like the front bead falling off and jamning.
