I am planning on buying a Tikka T3 in either .270, .308, or 270 wsm. I was wondering which caliber would be the best for whitetail and mule deer. Also what scope would you reccomend for this rifle. thanks

have a Tikka Long range conntinetal hunter in 7mm with a shepherd 3-10 scope and it is bad medicine for mule deer and elk drops them in their tracks expensive, but woth the final result

I use it in 270 with vari x 3

I got a early XMAS present a Tikkia T-3 Light in .300 WSM I love this gun it is the best out of the box gun I have ever owned It has a great trigger and is shooting clover leafs with ballistic tip 165grs and I have taken a 6 point with it also. As for caliber I prefer 30 caliber 30-06 and .300 wsm are two of my favorites hope this helps also I like Leupolds, I have a Leupold Rifleman 4X12 on this T-3 but if you have the funds its hard to beat a 4.5x14x50 varx 3
