Realized I might be able to get Norma Ammo in Canada. Does anyone know what the laws are about ammo importation to the US, or crossing the border say from Canada to New York with the ammo?

Canada is not so concerned about what is going OUT of the country as what is coming INTO the country. Call U.S. customs and ask them what U.S. laws and your state laws are in this regard.

Hope you got my email (Norma Ammo - Email me back because I may have another source). I agree with Duffy, check US Customs for their current policy. Last time I brought ammo from the US into Canada (about 4 years ago) it was no problem at the border, but with September 11th, things may have changed alot. Good Luck

The Canadian Government now requires the equivalent of an FAC (Firearms Acquisition Certificate)to purchase ammo. With the recent gun control laws the FAC has been replaced with a Possession Only Licence (one type)or Acquisition and Possession Licence (second type). May want to find out our firearms laws regarding the purchasing of ammo, if you are a non resident. I don't recall the website, but I believe it may link to a search on the "Canadian Firearms Center". Just an after thought.
