Default Zero' ing a H&R slug gun

First off , if you want your gun bore-sighted corretly , do it yourself. My local gun shop attempted to and it took me 3 boxes of slugs to get it right. Used the winchester platinums and Hornaday XTP ' s. Was right on at 75 yrds and about 2 in low at 100. Was looking for a more accurate slug. Just bought some lightfields last night and gonna try em today. Any suggestions on slugs ? Do you really lose that much speed between the 2 3/4 vs the 3" ?

Slugman,

Believe it or not, I have found that the Remington Sluggers are the most accurate in my gun. When I bought my rifled barrel for my Mossberg, I purchased several different boxes/brands of the " super slugs." Many were the new copper saboted slugs. I thought that they would be the most accurate rounds. Well, it turned out that the plain Remington Sluggers were the best. In fact, the 3" magnums were more accurate than the 2 and 3/4" shells. These would shoot into one hole at 75 yds. The recoil was much greater also

It felt good though walking through the woods knowing that I had all those foot pounds of energy.
