Welcome to the forum

Loser Racer, It maybe your land but you are still governed by State Game laws. The game wardens can come on your property and investgate any wrong doings. Since you' re new to hunting I would suggest starting it on the right foot.Laws are made to protect the game and hunters in general.Since you are new to hunting another suggestion would be take your states hunters safety course. It' s well worth the time and you' ll learn the does and don' t.

I have to agree with Ruger. You will probably be barking up the wrong tree on this page by talking about going around game laws.

Attitudes like yourselfs is what makes it more difficult every year for law abiding hunters to hunt.

In North Carolina, as in Virginia, first-time hunters (and some others) must take a certified Hunter Education course to obtain a Hunter' s License. Check here http://www.wildlife.state.nc.us/ for all the details you' ll need, Lost Racer. Obey the laws; don' t become a poacher.
