Hello, I'm a new member and I want to learn to hunt with a rifle. However, I have almost no knowledge of how to handle a rifle or how to shoot safely and accurately.
I got a "DNR Firearms Safety Certification" in Minnesota years ago, but due to my living situation at the time I wasn't able to really learn to shoot or hunt at all. I have shot a few different rifles on occasion, but nothing recently.
I have no family or friends available to teach me riflery. Is there any way for me to learn despite that? What should I do?

Find an NRA rifle range near you. I seem to remember one in Milwaukee somewhere. But if there aren't any NRA ones close to you, I believe Wisconsin has DNR ranges all over the state like PA and there are usually a few folks there. Most shooters are more than happy to help you along with some of the basics. Especially hunters.

Welcome to the forum. First of all, congratulations on recognizing that shooting is a learned and perishable skill and very few of us are naturals at it. I would look up any local gun clubs in your area and join. I think it'd be safe to say that every good sized town in the state has one. That will give access to a range. Ask around for some help at the club. Any number of shooters would be happy to give you some tips. Another option would be to ask at a local gun shop. Again, someone there would be able to point you to a resource to help you learn. Good luck and good shooting.
