2. I like Deer and Elk jerky so I need a big game rifle. I love my $300, .66 MOA, Savage Axis II with the accutrigger and Weaver scope. This has been my elk gun for years. Cheap Federal blue box, Powershok, 130 grain soft point drops them.
3. I have loved my Maverick 88 by Mossberg 12 Ga. Shotgun for Duck, quail, and dove ($188 bucks).

In the Lower 48, these three guns satisfy all common hunting needs. $800 bucks total for your "arsenal" of 3 guns.
. I would think even the turkish Mossbergs are more. Just googled they are that cheap. Wow. Though the top mounted safety is why I like Mossberg, and maverick does not have it, I read.

Buds has one for $210.
Uses Mexican parts, and since assembled in Texas, probably Mexian labor.

Younggun308, yes! You are correct! I had to go back and edit my post to include the chambering of the rifle. .270 is correct. The Powershoks are a much cheaper load than many higher end rounds, but they shoot great and knock down the Elk each year. Cheap and Effective, just what I want.

Boondock,

we certainly live in a time where a hunter can cover everything they need cheaply. And most of these cheap guns shoot very well. Many of them better than allot of the old 700s and 70s that I've handled. They are ugly. But they can print a nice group.

I agree. Many are ugly. I have an old Remington that was my Grandfather’s. I would not want to hunt with it. Beautiful wood stock. I’d rather take out a cheap synthetic stock gun that shoots just as good but doesnt mean as much to me. Walking through the brush, standing in the rain, or slipping down a mountainside and scratching the synthetic stock wouldnt hurt my feelings. Its my tool, not a relic.

My guns are little more than 'minute of hog' pieces of scrap too but they keep the freezer full.

I have a Glock and it was first experience was with Glock 19 which i bought from friend because i really love this pistol i always used to use it in video games lol, before buying it i watched many videos about guns and bullets and read good information about the basic parts of the bullet and the pistol and ammo compression on bulkmunitions for guns and ammo details because i think it’s important to know all these basics before start using guns. Now i’m planning to buy a Remington 700 soon for a hunting trip with friends.

Centerfire Rifles in the following calibers...
.22, I like the Savage Model 12 in 22-250 rem
.27, I like a Winchester Model 70 in .270 win
.30, I like a Winchester Model 70 in .300 win mag
.35, A Marlin 336 in .35 rem
A Shotgun
12 gauge either a Rem 870 or a Browning Citori

If you want all rifles add a Marlin1895 guide in.45-70 or maybe a Savage long range hunter in .338 Lapua
