SuperHunt54 (cross posted)
Guys I received an email today from Lynn's son. Lynn has suffered a major stroke on Thursday night and is in very bad shape. He asked that I let you guys know because he had no way of logging in to this site.
I told him I would let you all know and that I would pray for his recovery and for the family's comfort in this situation. I ask you to please do the same. Thanks. |
My prayers are with Lynn & his family, for a complete and speedy recovery !!!
|
Dang that's not good to hear! I've really liked reading his posts, lots of good info!
He'll be back posting soon!!!!!! |
So sorry to hear that. He certainly has a ton of gun related knowledge and is always eager to share. Best thoughts and prayers going his way.
|
I got another email and it appears it is even worse that I thought. I'm not quite sure but he may be on life support and because of his living will he may have the plug pulled in a couple days. I also found out that Lynn isn't a religious man so my prayers have been altered that he finds the Lord before his passing which may be soon.
|
The man was an encyclopedia of knowledge. And I know a good friend to several on the forum. Prayers for him, the family, and the doctors working on him. Keep us updated if you would Clem.

Thoughts and prayers are on the way.

I'm not a person skilled at expressing my affections verbally (or in type), so some might be surprised to find me without words at a time like this, but I'll say my heart is heavy to hear this news, and my family is praying for Superhunt54/Lynn and his family. God's plan can't be known by man, but I'm comforted in knowing Lynn is a type of person who lives a principled and moral life, so any outcome forward, he'll be well taken care of. My wife, son, and I will keep him and his family in our hearts, minds, and prayers.
Please let us know if you hear anything more from his family. |
We will keep him and his family in our prayers and our hearts go out to them, God bless
|
I'm also very sad to hear this. He always had some interesting insights to add to the various conversations here. I did enjoy reading his posts, even if I didn't agree with all of them. We did, on occasion, butt heads over a few topics. However, I learned pretty quickly that we agreed on far more than we disagreed on. He will be missed here.
|
So sorry you're hear this my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family
|
Any updates on his condition?
|
He will be in my prayers.
|
Clem keep us posted. My prayers and well wishes to him and his family!
|
Guys I just responded to a PM by Champlain Islander. I haven't heard anything since the last email. But at this time I don't want to pest the family just in case things have gone south. If I don't hear anything by next week I will drop an email to Lynn's son.
While I hope no news is good news - there is a chance that the family is in mourning and I don't want to intrude on it. |
Thanks for the explanation and update Bronko. Hopefully no news is good news. Prayers and good wishes have been and are still coming for SH.
|
Thanks Bronko and as a measure of solidarity I hope all our members send along either a prayer, best wishes or good karma towards SH54 either via the site or through whatever medium chosen. He is one of us and needs our help in any way possible.

Members, it is with a sad heart that I must tell you all that I received an email this morning from Lynn's son Danny. At Lynn's request in his living will, the family has honored his wishes and removed him from life support on Wednesday morning. The stroke he suffered damaged most of his frontal lobe and other parts of the brain and the doctors said there would be no way he could recover from it. We have lost a wealth of knowledge from SuperHunt54. God rest his soul.
I request that you continue your prayers for comfort of the family in this sad time. |
Thats sad, I was worried that might happen, strokes are terrible! RIP Superhunt.
|
I am very sorry to hear that, I was hoping for better news. His family and he will be in my thoughts.
|
That's very sad to hear.
One of my best friends Dad's passed away 2 weeks ago from an infection that caused multiple strokes. He was only 59 and it seemingly great health. I guess when it's time it's time. |
RIP big guy!!!
|
I'm reminded of the scene in Tombstone when one of the gang asks Doc Holiday why his out there fighting in his ailing state. His response - Wyatt is my friend. To which the inquisitor states, "he11, I got lots of friends."
Doc's reply - well I don't. I didn't know Lynn personally through anything but this forum, but through the years, we'd chatted ebough I would say, among my ragged few crew friends, he is a person I was glad to call one. Believe I'll go stoke up some rounds for my 7-08, one of his favored, if not favorite round, and burn some powder tomorrow so Lynn will have plenty of Varget on the other side of the veil. God's speed! |
Such very sad news that really does sadden your heart. RIP SH, you will be missed greatly!
|
I too had hoped for better news !
One of the "good guys" !! Wishing his family, friends & loved ones; peace, love and serentity !!! |
We have lost another brother here. As the years go by we are reminded how many we have behind us and never sure how many we have left ahead. Superhunt was indeed a wealth of knowledge and undoubtably the future will leave some questions unanswered as he takes his knowledge with him.
My condolensces to his family and may they find comfort in each other and his memory. |
Hello all forum members. My sister gave me my dads pass words to his computer so we could come on here and thank everyone for their kind thoughts and words for our dad. As we have explained to Mr. Bronkoski, due to the nature of our business, security and privacy keeps us from having open lives but I am happy to see the old man kind of got around all that making many friends on here. His strength and wisdom will surely be missed in our lives. I haven't really gotten in to the on line things all that much nor has most of the rest of us but we again are glad to see that he had made friends here. Our step mom is also grateful for all the kind words. She is tougher than the rest of us by a long shot but she doesn't fool me one little bit. She is a total wreck right now. With the 20 year age difference she knew he would more than likely go before her but the shape the man was in, as well as his supreme stubbornness, the rest of us wasn't so sure about that. If time allows, I will try to come on here on occasion and possibly make some friends as well. I'm nowhere near the vault of knowledge he was but he did teach me a lot and from a quick overview of his files on this computer, he seemed to have left us all a good deal of his thoughts and ideas about hunting and shooting. Looks like he was almost finished with a book about whitetail hunting and had a pretty good start on elk and moose hunting as well. As I mentioned previously, I am not all that familiar with forums so forgive me if I do not respond quickly to any messages. I don't even have internet service at our house. We just use our smart phones. Something my dad seemed to always laugh about. He was always saying things like, I like my phone to be stupid, or something along those lines. Again, thank you all for the kind words and the support for our family. He always taught us that death is a part of life and not to grieve too much as he had led a rich and full life while accomplishing most everything he set out to do.
|
Your father probably forgot more than most of us will ever know, and he was always willing to share that knowledge. He'll be missed on the forum. Prayers for your family and for comfort.

Super Hunt shared his thoughts, helped with his knowledge and stood his ground on topics when necessary.
Peace and strength to his family and a much deserved toast to him for helping make this forum a lively and better place.:party0005: |

Welcome Hunter's Life....I hope you become a regular on here. And we'll see how far the apple fell from the tree! I'm sure you'll make a few friends here as your father did. You've already started with me. God bless you and your family.
|
Hunters Life, welcome aboard and very sorry for your loss. Your dad will be remembered and missed by many of us.

Again, thanks to you all. I am going to take a look at these other subjects and I think I figured out how to view the old mans posts. My sisters are the computer geniuses. I've never really gotten in to the computer world all that much other than the necessities for work related projects. Mom just came in here and said she almost thought dad was sitting here in his old chair thumping the keyboard like a giant troll. The only place the man was quiet was in the woods. Or sneaking up on one of us kids when we were screwing up to deliver a smack to the head.
|
LOL that is the way I always pictured him.
