Browning X-Bolt or Tikka T3X
#1
So, I sent that Ruger American I've had so much trouble with to the factory. I'm honestly thinking that once I get it back, I may get rid of it and go with something a little higher quality. I'm thinking about the Browning X-Bolt or Tikka T3 (I'm settled on .308 win.)
I've held, examined, dry fired, and read about both. I'm leaning toward them for the same reasons that lead me to the RAR originally: light weight and accuracy. I want to use it as a general purpose, medium-to-large-game, scout rifle for lengthy excurisions in the mountains.
What say you?

I'd take either - in fact I have both;
X-Bolt stainless in .338 WM & Tikka T-3 Lite stainless in .223.
Close your eyes, pick each gun up and shoulder it............................open your eyes, let the gun "pick" you !!!

Tikka only comes in long action...
I don't want another SA cartridge in a Long action.
I like both browning and Tikaa/Sako.
But believe you can get a Browning in a short action in 308.
So if I went with the Tikka, I'd probably pick a long action cartridge, 270, 30-06, 25-06,
