Default Ultiamte Firearms "Game Breaker" .450 Bushmaster

I have an Ultimate Firearms Inc. "Game Breaker" that I've only shot a few factory .450 Bushmaster rounds from. I haven't reloaded CF ammunition in decades, being a dedicated muzzleloader shooter.
The rifle has a Leupold VX6, 3-18 scope and I chose the 3 shot magazine over the 5. This rifle shoots excellent with outstanding accuracy with factory ammunition.

I loaded up my first box of .450 Bushmaster with Federal 205 primers, 37.9grs LilGun and the Hornady 250gr. FTX bullet. Fortunately I had another shooter help with the setup.

This morning it was cool enough to try my first reloads for the "Game Breaker" and it worked out well. I do have to say, Ken Johnston makes excellent rifles, not just muzzleloaders. http://ultimatefirearms.com/

Range: 150 yards....... 3-shot group

Looks like a nice piece. Too bad we can't use them here in Illinois. Maybe next year the Straight Wall cartridge rifles will be allowed. Of course if that were to happen, I have me some .444 medicine for some of these old girls around here and maybe a couple of the old boys I like my old stump thumper

Been a long time since I used a CF or reloaded for one when hunting deer. I did swapped the muzz out in "08" to a Marlin model 1881 40-60 to take a doe. That rifle hadn't been shot in over 50 years.

This "Game Breaker" is a darn nice rifle, with the recoil of maybe a .410 and certainly much less than my BP Xpress.

Seems like a mighty high price for a rebuilt Rem 700. Impressive accuracy with the punkin balls, but $2500 could go a long ways towards something else.

Once you go custom, you never want to go back.

It fits the bill for those states that now allow straight walled cases to 1.8" where shotguns were only allowed before.

"Custom" is one thing. "Over priced custom" is another. $2500 before optics for a blue printed R700, c'mon...

You don't have to purchase one. They're selling very well from what I understand. Its price is also in the ball park with other custom rifle builders.

$2500 is the going rate for a custom on a 700. I mean McWhorter charges $4500 for the same gun but on a Stiller, that's only a $700 action compared to the $400 rem 700 donor...

It's dead on where our Rem 700 based guns start at... http://www.diablocustomrifles.com/factory-action-rifles

Wonder if they would be legal in NY?

What barrel length did you choose and have you chronographed anything yet?
