I have 5 223's, a 22-250, 6mm ppc, 2 243's, a 6mm, a 25 wssm,a 6.5 Gibbs, 270, 270 weatherby, 7mm-08, 7mm RM, 7mm STW, 7mm Allen Mag, and a 458 socom all which I use for deer hunting. at ranges under 400 yards during doe season I wouldn't feel under gunned with my RRA 8 twist varminter. I use the larger stuff during buck season only because of the slim to none chance that a trophy will step out and offer me a shot at a bad angle, but during doe season if you have to let a couple walk that don't offer the "sunday morning broadside" shot, its no big deal a couple more will be along in a bit.
