Default 10-22 conversion

With so many options, it's hard to chose how you'd customize your 10-22. I asked myself this question "Am I converting this firearm into a long range, accurate hunting rifle or a close-quarters carbine with a novelty model stock?"

I decided to maintain the range of my 10-22, and not "convert", but "edit" the firearm. I'm going with the exact model in the link below, and then some.

I just want to add a lightweight bi-pod to the above configuration.

In this thread, you are encouraged to post your own 10-22 configurations and argue over pros and cons of different stocks, sights, barrels, etc

Am I able to attach a fluted, threaded bull barrel to my receiver, and have it fit into a Hogue stock? Then a bi pod? Auto bolt release?

I have this exact model 10/22 --

What furniture do you prefer on a 10/22, and what do you avoid?

my 10/22, turn key job by Jim Clark Jr. back in 1992, shilen 22" .920 barrel, 8x40x56 scope, wanna kill a squirrel at 100 yards? or hold your own at indoor matches? it'll do double duty. its put a 10 wheeler load of squirrels, turkeys, and groundhogs on the table, works well for precision shooting of whitetails on damage permits when the co stipulates rimfire only.

Out of all this, I just have one question. What is a damage permit?

Sheridan has it right, here in wv if deer are getting in your garden, you call the authorities, they send a co out, he determines if you can safely shoot in that area, issues you damage permits for you to take deer, if its a populated area he instructs you when, from which direction and the firearm you can use.

1. What is that monster scope and how much does it weigh?

2. I can not see the end of the barrel. Are you using a tuner?

1)tasco Mil Spec 8x40x56, rifle weighs just over 12 pounds
2) no tuner, shoots federal classic solids very, very well. As it does Eley scorpions, the standard velocity match stuff will make one ragged hole at 50 yards, on 50' indoor comp. if you do your part it will take out the 10 ring with each shot.
