The grip angle of the M&P and the XD fit me much better than the grip of the Glock.

Some guys like one type of grip, some like the other. Do yourself a favor and actually shoot different pistols if you can. Holding them at the gun counter does not tell you everything you need to know.

You also may want to look at a SIG. You can never go wrong with a SIG.

I always carry a Ruger LCP (very tiny .380) but it would not be a good choice for a plinking or target pistol. If I feel the need or just want to put some holes in a target I also carry a larger pistol, usually an M&P but often either my SIG 226 or XD40. My nightstand is normally the resting place for my 1911.

Hey folks! I just wanted to put in a update on my progress. Today i went to an indoor range and shot about 8 different guns. Glock 19, S&P shield, xds, 2 revolvers, a 1911 model, and a markov something or another. We tried different calibers and distances and everything you could think of. I am loving the shield and xds had some jamming issues in the 45, but it was a range rental and has seen some stuff. Glock was solid, and the markov was most accurate for me. I think that I will land on a Shield. Thank you soo much everyone.

I just have to get a few handguns for fun, but the shield will be first and CCW. What a terrible choice to pass at the 5 yard line or whatever that was.

I shopped around today during lunch break and found a Shield for a great price and pulled the trigger so to say. Again, thanks to all who helped me out here.
