Default Sako 85

Hey guys. Was looking to get a new rifle. I really enjoy a high quality rifle so a few people recommended the sako 85. Was wondering the difference between the classic, hunter, and deluxe. Was thinking maybe 7mm mag or 300 mag. Any input would be great!

I own a A7 Stainless in 7MM RM & love it.

Wished I could afford the 85...............

7MM RM or .300WM - hard to go wrong IMO !

Smooth bolt, great trigger, synthetic stock - the A7 is 6 5/8 lbs. (I like a lite gun).

You can't go wrong with a Sako! I have the Finnbear in 30-06 and the Forester in .243 and love them both.

Sounds like sako makes a sweet gun. I think I'm going to call them today to see what the differences are between the classic, hunter, and deluxe

I own one and shoot a sako 85 in 338 fed. The fed doesn't come with any kind of recoil lug (not sure if the mags do or not), there is a slot for it but that's all. I bedded one in (mixing in ss powder to the epoxy) in a McMillian (the 85 stock just didn't do it for me) stock, it's a sweet gun, shoots very well. Truth be told I think the 75 is a better gun but both are smooth as silk and hit what I point them at+
