Congrats. I had a world class on a 300 mag many years ago. Never gave me any trouble, and when I took an unscheduled trip into a creek bottom and broke my elbow it didn't change of impact. It should serve you well.

scope and ammo
Scope:
Congrats on rifle and scope. Tasco's are great and should serve you well. I have an older Stevens bolt action .30-30 that has a Williams peep sight on it. This is my "still hunting in falling snow" rifle. It is really nice to not have to worry about keeping the snow off the lenses of a scope, and shots will typically be fairly close, and sometimes fast. The Leverrevolution 160 grains Hornady's are extremely accurate out of the above rifle, and likely will work well in your rifle. |
Stevens 320
Areas i hunt are thick. So i bought a stevens 18.5" 320 pump. Tried many types of ammo to pattern it. It groups very well out to 50 yards with super x 3" buckshot...00. Ive put 500+ rounds threw it making sure i can hit what im shooting. This will be better then my sawed off 22" single shot 4 sure. If hunting open areas i use my .243.
