I would also add the Savage Model 93 to you list of options. I have one in 17 HMR and that thing is a tack driver and shoots like a dream. I will say this though, my buddy has the CZ 455 in 22 WMR and that thing is also a joy to shoot. I'd say buy the one that feels best in your hands...

Did you have any magazine lip or feeding problems with that Savage 93? Curious after reading a review although it looks like a great rifle.

I went with the CZ 455 Varmint. Should have it in a few weeks. Not sure what I'm going to put on it for a scope.

Since you said 100-150yrd varminting, I'd look for a 4-12x, 4.5-14x, or 4-16x magnification scope in a 44 or 50mm objective, preferably a 30mm tube.

The extra FOV of a 44mm or 50mm objective is nice when you're looking for small targets downrange, and pulls up extra light for you for dawn or dusk hunting - especially in the 30mm tube.

The 4x bottom end will give you plenty of FOV for short range work, but having the extra magnification of 12x up to 16x at the high end will help focus in on little varmints way out there at 150yrds, further if you so desire.

150 yds isn't really way out there. i doubt i'd need a 12x scope to see a woodchuck. probably stay with a 4x fixed.
But here's the thing. I went to order the CZ455 and the guy asked me if I reload. said if i do (and i do), i should think about stepping up to the cz 527 in 22 Hornet. said I can reload cheaper than 22wmr. more bullet choices, as fast or slow as i want. i don't know anything about a 22 hornet. so now i don't know what to do.

***Go with the 22 hornet like the guy advised and don't look back! It's a fantastic little hummer that you'll love shooting and it will take you out a lot further than the 22 mag. You may want to go with a higher power scope than the 4x you're thinking about since you can shoot a chuck or yote out to 250 yards with it with no problem. I have a Savage break action single shot with a 3-9 on it and it's a shooter. It's identical to the one in this picture I took off the net.
