The Ruger SP101 22lr I recently purchased has been a fun one, wonderful little kit gun. I've had a couple Taurus Trackers in 22WMR and 17HMR for several years, 6" models, actually really good quality revolvers. But we're not talking about $200 revolvers, not even used. I'm sure you could stumble across used Taurus 94, Rossi 98, or Charter Pathfinder (or equivalent older models) for that price, but you DID say "good". The Taurus 94, Rossi, and Charters are NOT "good". At only $200, you'll likely need to revert to considering a Single Action, where you'll easily be able to pick up a Heritage Rough Rider for that price, or a used single six or Bearcat if you're lucky. The Rough Rider isn't really "good", but it's pretty close to good, and a lot closer to "good" in my experience than the cheaper Taurus, Rossi, or Charter DA's. If you can find one, rougher versions of some old H&R revolvers can sometimes be found in that price range. Honestly, save up longer, get a better revolver. You'll be glad you did. |
What kind of groups/ranges are your trackers shooting?

I think i'll look at some single actions first and if i dont see any I realy like I will save for a while longr

Golfballs/eggs and full size rimfire pistols put the FUN in handgunning fundamentals! :p |
I bought my single six to shoot coons from the deer blind during deer season.
To many around and they mess with my bees. :D Al |

I forget exact diameter, but it seems like a golfball is just a touch over 1.5", right?
:p |
Sounds like it'd make a dandy grouse gun.
