my uncle said the same thing. buy the best scope you can afford then with what is lever buy the rifle. he had a $300 Leupold on a $60 marlin auto 22.

It is just as, and even more important than the gun itself! I used to think, "glass is glass," but that IS NOT TRUE! A quality scope is just as important, if not more important than the rifle or the caliber!
