For a 9mm a Sig 226, w/E2 grip and short reset trigger, never have I shot a more accurate 9mm as easily as this one & you can run 18 round mec-gar mags too.

For a .45a acp a Sig P220 like someone said earlier...it will run and run..Id trust my life to both these pistols...

If the price of new scares you away look for them used..my buddy bought a used P220 non rail at a LGS for $525.00 and it shoots anything you feed it.
