6.5x55 What make is it?
I took a 6.5x55 in trade last winter. It has 787 on the bolt knob. 4787 on the side of the barrel. 6.5*55 on the barrel. Also, under the front scope mount it has WAR on one side and RIK on the other.
Right behind this on one side of the front scope mount it has OBR or OBE and the opposite side has F a/n. The a/n is in capitals, but smaller than the F. It looks like a Mauser action, but I am not a gun guy. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. I could figure it out if I took off the scope and mounts, but I really don't want to do that. It has a 3x9 Redfield scope. Oh, yeah, it is pre-64 according to the guy who traded me.
