Default Rem 16g Slug Choke

Hello Everyone,

I have been doing some searching but I cannot really find any information on what I should use for a slug choke tube for a Rem 870 Express 16g pump.

If you have a screw in rifled tube you should use Sabot Slugs. Your choice.

If you have screw in tubes that came with the gun when you bought it use imp cyl and foster slugs. Win and Brenneke what I have used.

improved cylinder to mod choke will work best & if you do have a rifles barrel lightfields are the only sabots available & ithaca gun is the only gun man i know who made fully rifles barrels

If you are shooting RIFLED slugs, you will probably do best with an Improved Cylendar choke tube. DO NOT shoot anything tighter than a modified. NO FULL CHOKE.
