Hey guys I just now bought the h&r slug gun 12 ga and I had one before. Before I bought one it had the heavy barrel on it this one doesn't am I missing something did I buy the wrong gun. Does the thin barrel shoot as good as the heavy barrel. Can someone shed some light on this for me please.

I've got one like that. It is the Ultra-Light model. If it is like mine, it will shoot just fine. The barrel will heat up quicker, but since it is a single shot that isn't a concern during hunting. One word of warning is that it is gonna kick more on the range while you're sighting in.

Since I mostly hunt by slipping along the woods I didn't want the heavy barrelled model so I don't have any experience with it.
