Default Gun Fun

Im new here, but just curious? Here is the scenerio. Just for fun thinking. You get the opertunity to go live in the mountains anywhere for three years with general food supplies, but no meat. Vegtables enough for a year but you have seeds and such to start a garden. It is a furnished cabin and all but no way in or out but by plane. Your by a small lake and no other animals to take care of. Pilot says with all your supplies your are allowed 2 guns and enough ammo, or one bow and a gun. What do you take???? just for fun thinking

tough question

I think a pump 12 ga and a 22. If I could take a variety of shot shells plus slugs and a variety of 22 ammo I think that would be my best bet. I couldn't take any long range shots but I think these two guns might serve me best.

It would be tough not to take my 243 or my 6.5 X 55, but the 22 and 12 ga would probably be best. IMHO

...but no meat
Well that means I am going to have to go get it. So I would take my 30-06 and a .357 for the bed table.

Not trying to be a lump on the log but is this any mountain range we choose as well.

Alaska or Rockies, 12g if can carry multiple types of shells and the .338 Lapua Magnum rifle outfitted with a Linux-powered scope

Apps 12g and 30-06

Savage model 24 in 22/20ga, and then as a second, 30-30/20ga or 30-30/12ga or the Baikal 308/12ga, (adjustable choke) all with several sets of various ammo. Covers squirrels, rabbits, birds, deer (elk), medium size bears, considering mountain range.

Rem 870 12ga and and Ruger 77 30'06. Not much in the mountains that those 2 couldn't handle.

I'm taking a TC Contender with buttstock and a variety of barrels from .22 to 300WM to 12 gauge. ( you said 2 guns but didn't limit me on barrels)

And I take my S&W 629.

That will do.
