Default auction prices

When to a auction Sat in va. The guns at the auction agent for a crazy amount. A used ruger 10/22 with a cheap tasco scope agent for $350. A winchester 37 410 agent for $900. A marlin 25m with broke safety agent for$350. A bad shaped savage 99 in 300 savage agent for $900. And a stevens 94 20 gauge agent for $300. Finally a remington 721 270 with tasco scope when for $645. I know guns at auctions usually go higher then they should but this is crazy. Anyone seen the prices of guns go for crazy amount of money recently.

Auctions are a really good place for a lot of rather foolish people to be separated from their money. Rarely do things sell for what I'd call a reasonable amount. Often people get caught up in the bidding and lose sight of the actual value of what is on the block. I much rather prefer a 'closed bid" auction where you submit the amount you're willing to pay. I've done some decent deals that way but have always dropped out on a regular open bid auction. Once my max bid is reached, I'm done. That's why it is called a max bid.
