I like my HOWA Axiom in the 243. I had no problem taking a deer down with it and I watched an elk dropped with it.

How are we going to turn this kid into a gun nut if we suggest one rifle for everything?
He needs a 243 to get started.
Then a 270 for longer range.
Then a 30/06 because everybody needs one.
Then a 7 Mag because magnum fever eventually gets to us all.
Then a 35 Whelen because they are just so damn cool.
Then a 300 WSM because it's the latest thing.

And so on..........

Am I wrong?

And then once he has all of those rifles and scatterguns, he'll have to come over to the world of wheelguns, so he'll have to get a .357mag snubby Double Action, a .44mag 7.5" Single Action, and a .22lr to practice with.

Which inevitably gets poisoned by the world of pistols, so he'll have to get a 1911, and a Glock 9mm, then probably need a .380acp pocket pistol.

Yes, that's what I'm talking about !!

Then of course he will need a Rockchucker press and a cabinet full of dies.
