Exclamation What can I use a 300 win mag for?

New to the forum this section seemed like the right place to put it, I originally got it for elk, black bear, and possibly moose, but I am wondering what can I use it for other then the 3 I listed, what can I use it for in Arizona? I was going to use it for moose this year in Maine but we're moving to Arizona by next year and Ohio this year, I have a shotgun for hunting in Ohio as I've heard rifles are not allowed when hunting, any ideas? I plan on reloading as well can I reload the 300 to hunt antelope? Thanks you guys

you can reload the 300 win mag to shoot just about anything you want to in north America. My buddy has one and uses some really light rounds 100 grain plinkers to shoot yotes and he likes 180 grain for deer and up. I think any 150 grain bullet will be fine for antelope. good luck

Changing bullets all the time can cause a little confusion in the heat of the moment. I guess if you never shoot passed 300 yards it won't matter much. I stick to one bullet one rifle same trajectory. It's more of a for sure thing if you do shot passed 300 yards. Just like the 30-06 the 300 win mag can be very versatile. I like it. Anything in North America..............

Not much need for a 300 win mag in Ohio. Only thing we can use rifles on is varmints. So maybe you can blow the heads off of squirrels or hit coyotes from 1000 yards.

I have used my 300 Win. Mag. only on deer sized game .... white tail, mule deer and feral hogs. I do not hand load for mine and have never tried any factory stuff with a bullet weight less than 165 gr. I'm fairly certain a 150 gr. would be very bad medicine for an antelope !
