Williams Fire Sight on Marlin 336
#1
I recently purchased a new Marlin 336Y and am very pleased with it except for one thing. The front sight is loose in it's dovetail and slides to the left as I'm shooting. I know I could use loctice or glue to secure it in place but I really like the idea of a Williams Rifle Bead fiber optic sight. I'm just not sure of which sight to order looking at the website. Has anyone put one of these on a 336 and could you tell me which sight to order?

Call them and have a caliper or ruler nearby. They'll probably ask you the height of your rear sight and then can advise which to order.

Drive the sight out of the dovetail. Take a small round nosed punch and put a couple of divits in the bottom of the dovetail slot. Drive the sight back on. It'll stay put. That's what they'll do if you send it in.
