Some of the necks were out of round, but would clean up in sizing. A couple were so bad they cracked and got chucked.

what you have there is a stolen rifle based on the serial number LOLOLOLOLOL.
Kidding. I have a couple old guns with stocks similar. They just used a bit better wood years ago.
