Anyone have target or game exp with this round? Thinking about getting an upper in this cartridge for my DPMS A-15.

For the power it delivers, there just aren't bullets available for .452" yet. Take a look at the .458 Socom if you're looking for a hard hitting big game cartridge in an AR.

Thanks for the skinny on that. Kinda liked the ballistics I saw for the 450 bushmaster, but not opposed to 458 Socom just not real familiar with it.

For white tail deer @ 125 yards and less is there a lot of difference in muzzle energy between the two rounds?

I have been shooting a 450 Bushmaster for 6 years and using Hornady 250gr factory ammo it is devastating on deer and hogs. This setup will shoot sub MOA at 200 plus yards. I was able to harvest 4 deer in under One minute during the 2009 hunting season. I was hunting a food plot and had doe tags to fill, a group of does came into the plot about an hour before dark, and it was "Bang Flop" with each pull of the trigger. Also, every hog has been a one shot harvest. I don't want to sound like a commercial for Bushmaster or Hornady, but this package works. You won't be disappointed in adding this to your AR collection
