I have used Sierra bthp out of my 30-06 for many years. I shoot the 165gr bullets and I have never had one blow up on a deer. They will shoot through both shoulders with no problems. I would advise to stay away from shoulder shoots as they do waste a lot of meat. A shot through the lungs will put them down fast with a impressive blood trail. One fine bullet for whitetails.
